As a Service Technician, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality mechanical service and support in the field. You will work independently and alongside a skilled team to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of mechanical systems.
Technicians are responsible for:
- Performing service calls, diagnostics, and repairs on mechanical equipment
- Conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance

About the Role
We are seeking an Outside Sales Engineer to join our team. This role is focused on driving new business, building strong client relationships, and delivering customized technical solutions to meet customer needs.
You will play a critical role in expanding our market presence by identifying
opportunities, engaging with clients in the field, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver high-impact solutions.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation:
- Base Salary: $60,000 – $70,000 annually
- Compensation is negotiable based on experience, skills, and qualifications
- Uncapped earning potential through performance-based incentives

What You’ll Do
- Achieve sales and gross profit targets
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, creating tailored strategies for
contractors, engineers, and facility managers - Present technical solutions and value propositions for complex systems and
controls - Conduct site visits, assessments, and provide system recommendations
- Negotiate contracts and manage customer expectations throughout the sales
cycle - Build, manage, and grow long-term client relationships
- Collaborate with manufacturers and internal teams to deliver optimal solutions
- Sell and help execute turnkey projects in partnership with internal and external
stakeholders
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field
- 3+ years of technical sales or related industry experience
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to build relationships and influence decision-makers
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness and ability to travel for client meetings and site visits

In this role:
• Process incoming requests from customers regarding parts for their commercial HVAC equipment
• Contact manufacturers or navigate manufacturer ERP systems to identify parts, obtain cost, lead
time information, and process parts orders
• Compile and communicate quotes to customers
• Form relationships with customers and suppliers to provide on-time and accurate quotes
• Manage all order status inquiries and supply chain logistical issues
• Process all parts warranty claims and track progress
• Process all incoming and outgoing shipments to and from Cedar Rapids Warehouse
• Maintain parts inventory, stock levels, location identification, and warehouse organization
• Operate a ride-on electric forklift and manual loading dock as necessary
Key Requirements:

• Ability to operate heavy machinery after training is executed (required)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (required)

Job Summary
We are looking for a driven Inside Sales Channel Engineer to support our Outside Sales team and help grow our partner (reseller) network. In this role, you will combine technical knowledge with sales support to help win new business and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, resellers, and end-user customers.
This is a great opportunity for someone with technical sales experience who thrives in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment.
What You’ll Do
- Support Outside Sales in achieving revenue and quota goals
- Work closely with IT resellers, security partners, and other channel partners
- Explain and position technical products/solutions to both resellers and end users
- Assist in developing competitive pricing strategies to win deals
- Research customer needs, budgets, and decision-making processes
- Deliver product presentations (remote and occasionally onsite)
- Respond quickly to inbound requests (quotes, proposals, emails, calls)
- Recommend solutions based on customer requirements and product comparisons
- Collaborate on lead generation and pipeline development
- Maintain ongoing communication with customers through renewals, updates, and outreach
- Track and manage opportunities using CRM/sales tools
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of IT experience in technical sales, inside sales, or sales engineering
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Strong organizational and time management skills
